Founded in 2017 by Democratic District Leader, Peter Tu

Founded in 2017 by Democratic District Leader Peter Tu, the Kissena Democratic Club is a political organization based in Flushing, Queens with a mission to engage local community members in government affairs, promote involvement in the political process, educate voters, advocate Democratic principles, and support candidates for elected office who match these principles. The club’s two key strategies to better engage local community members in political and civic processes are organizing town hall meetings and increasing voter turnout.

The club is proud to begin its work with a robust and diverse inaugural leadership team made up of a variety of professionals in multiple fields of expertise, including healthcare, real estate, finance, nonprofit, and government.

Officially kicked off in April, 2017

The club officially kicked off in April, 2017 at a launch event that was joined by many honored guests, including Council Members Peter Koo, Rory Lancman, Paul Vallone, and Barry Grodenchik, State Senator Toby Ann Stavisky, NYPD 109th Precinct Commanding Officer Inspector Judith Harrison, and Democratic District Leaders Neeta Jain, Stephanie Goldstone, and Justin Yu.
